Hotel booked
Lollapolooza Hotel 2011
Very excited. Tommy found our hotel for Lolla this year. It's right across the street from Grant park and not too far from the Thai place we've coined as our own. It seems pretty perfect. Wanted to drop a link so I wouldn't forget where it was and MAYBE, someone else might like to go.

Week ending....
Hell of a spring break we had. I ended up in the hospital for 3 days with a raging kidney infection and a screwed up liver. I'm nearly 100 percent on the kidneys and tests are still out on the liver. Have no idea what is up with that but we will figure it out.
Kids went to Jumpmania one day with Bert then he also took them to the circus one day. I feel bad their Spring Break wasn't a lot of fun but maybe that is not so bad...they can't compare next year.
Emily lost her second tooth at the circus too. That was HUGE. She was eating a hot dog and she really feels she swallowed it. Tooth fairy left her a bunch of dimes that night. They drew a picture of the tooth and left an explanation. Evidently it was good enough.
Bert spent 3 hours trying to get Elton John tickets for Kim, my aunt and me who is coming to JQ Hammonds next month. NO LUCK. I am so pissed. I am seeing them on Craigslist for way more than they are worth and I am flagging every single one. If it weren't for these scalpers, I may have gotten my tickets.
I've set up a corner of the basement for my study space. My current method is not working, which is sitting at the kitchen table. I really need to step up the pace on getting some of this done.
Coming up this week: Lots of hours at work and I start orientation at Christian Co Comm Center. REally looking forward to that and working with Rance again. Bert has a lot of days off this week because his "Mancation" was postponed. I ended up being available a lot more.
Soccer has also started, as you can see from earlier pictures. Ethan is doing a little better this season, Emily is doing way better. Coach Chad, who is awesome, is BOTH their coaches this season.
That is all for now. Hope anyone who reads this is doing well.

Galvaston in July
Vacation spot in July
More to come but it looks like we are planning a vacay in Glavaston this July. Staying about 10 days in a camping spot down there. The resort is very kid friendly and we are also hoping to grab a short cruise during that time, bought last minute to get a super deal. Even if the cruise doesn't happen, the kids are going to have a BLAST camping and swimming in the ocean.

Rascal Flatts at JQH Arena

Last night, Bert and I saw Rascal Flatts at JQH Arena. Chris White (Nashville Star) and Luke Byron opened for him. Chris White I watched when he was on the show but I hardly recognized him. Luke Byron, who I did not know, I preferred over the two. He put on a great show and got the audience involved.
Our seats were in B section and based on my facebook status updates, I knew no less than 25 people who were attending. Ironically, we got seats right next to Matt and Annette (which was not planned). Also saw Scott M and his family, Joel and Caleb worked the standby, Dustin Medlam, Brandon and Corey also stopped by onduty. We ate dinner with Tommy/Melissa Johnson, Nettie Greenwalt, and Sean/Jen Gasper plus another couple and about 4 kiddos, at Hinodes.
I didn't know a whole lot of songs from them but the sound was excellent and they put on a great show. There was an electric guitar solo done to the song "America", with lots of light, which was very patriotic. The encore was pretty awesome, with a video before they came back out.
Beers where $6 bucks, Tshirt $30 and a hat $25. I put away some cash but it was worth it. I had a great time. I would totally watch them again!
