Easter and Uncle Rob

Been kinda busy in our household the past week or so. Bert's military buddy stopped for a 4 day visit last week through Easter. He had just finished some training in Florida and was going home to visit family in Iowa before heading back to his own home in Minot, ND. Rob's a really cool guy and is always interesting to talk to. Emily liked him hanging around too and gave him lots of kisses.

Bert had to work on Easter so Rob came with the kids and I for Easter dinner with the family. It ended up being at Zio's this year because Ziggy's wouldn't take reservations. It was insanely busy but the food was great as always. Rob turned me onto Brushetta (great stuff) and mom bought everyone stuffed mushrooms as a treat. By the time we got our lunch, I was pretty much full with just appetizers.

Emily and Ethan got goodies from both MeMa and Aunt Kim. MeMa gave Emily a Dora shaped Easter basket with filled plastic eggs inside. Grandpa said it looked like a decapitated Dora and the eggs were the brains inside. My Dad's sense of humor rocks! lol. Aunt Kim gave her a Easter goodies in a decorative metal basket. Dora eggs were everywhere. Ethan got a stuffed animal by both.

The day before Easter we celebrated at our house so Bert could be there. Ems got a great big Easter basket that had several girly-girl items inside in a pink Easter theme: flowery decorative pillow, sunglasses, jumprope, frisbee, kickball and some candy. Ethan got a great big yellow Easter rabbit.

I had an Easter outfit for Emily and I ran off and forgot to snap any pictures, if you can believe that! So, we'll be dressing her back in her outfit (hopefully tomorrow) and I can get some pics. It was pink this year, sleeveless with flowers on the shoulders. Since it was was so cold this year, she also had a pink sweater to match. Who would have guessed freezing temps at Easter this year.
