We left Remsen about 9 last night and pulled in the driveway at 4:30 am. Long night but there were storms off and on so the lightning shows were pretty awesome.
We planned on leaving about 7 but "Aunt Hope" made a surprise visit and we stayed to say hi to her. She looks amazing as ever. Her brother and sister-in-law were with her as well. We are going to plan a trip out to California to see her either next summer or the next.
So today is acclimate day. Try to get back in the groove of thing and get tons of laundry done. I had a neighbor boy take care of my flowers and they look pretty awesome. Kids rode well last night. Traveling at night is still the only way to go.
